An earthquake with a magnitude of 6.8 on the Richter scale struck central Myanmar on 24 August at 4:04 pm (local time). Peace Winds Japan (PWJ) Countrt Office in Myanmar based in Yangon, some 500 km away from the epicenter, is monitoring the humanitarian situation resulted from this earthquake.
